Speaking on behalf of my experience in the field as peace monitor in the last election here in Onega, I want to commend the CIEPD and their partner PIND for putting up this program I want to actually say it help in instigating so many crisis here in Onega, as a matter of fact this is the first time in Onega in the past ministration we’re we election without violence leading to crisis, I want to salute there courage and the initiative. Now I reported an incident in my unit were I was the observer, were some group of guys came in to do away with the ballot boxes and papers , that is after sorting with the ballot papers before it was announced the candidate that was leading was not the candidate most of the thugs wanted to win the election, so haven’t seen from the counting that the other candidate was wining they wanted to interrupt the process spoilt the ballot papers and made away with the ballot boxes I think one of them, so after that happened the Onega’s youth came in to display to help calm the place and then the police also came, when the police arrived they actually asked of who is the observer there and I said I was the observer and they asked me what happened I explained everything have said in the video earlier and the police actually came with a bus pack the boxes and we were carried to the local government council the act center and the DPO was called the EO and everybody so after we discussed and have some understanding we came to a conclusion that since one of the boxes were not tempered with let count that one, while the other one that was tempered with we had to cancel that result from being pronouncing. I actually called the solution room from there and I must say that the intervention was actually smooth, in fact before I could actually know I saw the police I was even surprised how they could even locate the place but I know the Situation room must have contacted them for that, when I called back they told me that everything was under control. I want to say that the initiative is actually worthwhile and in elections they should actually use people from those place’s, people from those unit so they can actually vote and still secure the environment, seeing me as an observer there actually made some people to say ahh his our brother, you know even if there’s crisis I could know where I can lay my hands and legs in moving away like even in the fighting season I had to move away from that place. 

That’s the little experience I had in the 2023 general election
